World-renowned photographer Lorenzo Agius is bringing his work to Malta for the very first time, and for him, it’s personal.
With Maltese roots, Agius’ debut exhibition on the island, “Look at Me: Framing the Iconic,” will run from Friday 12th September to Sunday 2nd November, at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta, showcasing his most iconic portraits and cinematic moments across four immersive rooms.
Agius first shot to fame with his Trainspotting series, which perfectly captured the raw energy of a generation. Since then, he’s photographed some of the most recognisable names in the world, from Harry Styles to Madonna.
Visitors can expect large-format prints on textured watercolour paper that highlight the tactile beauty of his work, plus a dedicated projection room offering a completely different way to experience his images.
Still working at the top of the fashion and celebrity photography world, Agius’ exhibition is a celebration of persistence, integrity, and creative curiosity. The show has been curated by Charlene Vella, with design by Mather & Co and curatorial assistance from Michaele Zammit.
