The incident comes after a weekend of mayhem in the Auckland CBD, including a mass brawl on Karangahape Rd that left a man in a critical condition.
Police said this morning that the latest information they had received was that the man was now in a stable condition in hospital.
Two other men who were attacked in separate assaults in the early hours of yesterday morning are also now both in a stable condition, police said.
