No serious injuries have been reported from a crash in the Western Bay of Plenty.

Emergency services were called to a single‑vehicle crash at 6.55am after a car left the road and crashed in a ditch near the intersection of Wairoa Rd and State Highway 2.

A police spokesperson said
early information indicates the driver did not appear to have suffered serious injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
