THE man behind the V8 Sleuth brand quietly collected a significant slice of recognition in 2025.
That is, V8 Sleuth founder and managing director Aaron Noonan was inducted into the Supercars Media Association’s Hall of Fame.
The SMA HoF was launched in 2012 with five inaugural inductees: Ray Berghouse, Jon Evans, Will Hagon, Barry Oliver and John Stoneham.
A number of high-profile individuals have since been added, such as Mike Kable, Neil Crompton, Mike Raymond, Tim Pemberton and Garry Wilkinson.

Noonan started out as a Ballarat kid with a motorsport show on community radio; he then joined Motorsport News while still at high school before going full-time in 2000.
Various public relations gigs, including for Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and Holden Motorsport/Kmart Racing, preceded an eight-year television stint (2007-14) with Supercars Media and Channel 7.
Along the way, he started the V8 Sleuth platform in 2012/13 initially as a means to track chassis histories.
It has since evolved into a major content platform comprising daily news, feature items, podcasts, books and now a magazine.
