Travis Head scored 163 to put Australia in a strong position at lunch on day three of the final Ashes test.

Head had started the day on 91, and brought up his 150 off just 152 deliveries. He was trapped lbw by Jacob Bethell shortly after lunch.

Hosts Australia resumed
the second session at 3-281.

Yesterday, England captain Ben Stokes got the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne (48) after heated exchanges between the pair.

Earlier on Monday, Joe Root hit 160 to drive England to 384.
