Speaking to The Mirror, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said that Louis was showing that he was “boss” during the walkabout.
She claimed:“Louis, meanwhile, was showing his dad who was boss by refusing to don a woolly hat which a member of the public had handed to William.
“It was a charming family scene, and the Waleses took longer than any of the others to work their way along the crowds.”
Another moment where Louis showed his dad just who was boss is when William was given a ball of chocolate.
While the fan had already said it was for Louis, the young prince did not even give his father a chance to hand the gift over.
Instead, Louis snatched it from William and hugged it to his chest, showing just how happy he was to be given the sweet treat.
The moment was videoed and shared widely on X, with many fans commenting on just how sweet Louis is.
Louis, his siblings and his parents all spent December 25 at Sandringham House with King Charles and other members of the Royal Family.
While some royals stay overnight, it is likely that the family would have returned to their own Norfolk home – Amner Hall.
It is also believed they would have spent some time with Princess Catherine’s Middleton relatives over the festive break, with Louis, George and Charlotte believed to be very close to their grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton.
