Singer Lexy and producer Mike, who make up the husband/wife duo Lexytron, moved from England to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2019 and recorded their forthcoming album Something New in their home studios in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

Their sound is guitar-based, but the style moves between synthpop, rock n roll and alternative. The first two singles Kiss Me Quick and Disco Jenny won Lexytron international critical acclaim and interviews with Illustrate Magazine (New York), ‘My Views Are My Own’ podcast (Nashville), and Kick Arts (Auckland) and Song of the Day on The 13 Floor (NZ).

Lexy says “Like its predecessor Something Blue, Something New is unapologetic about its exploration of different genres but remains a cohesive collection of vintage-inspired pop. The sonic shifts represent the twists and turns in a relationship and the different emotions that go along with it.”.
