Today (12th September) marks album release day for Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall. The artist, who now embraces the truncated moniker of Jade since going solo, arrived in Eldon Square on Friday afternoon to meet fans and sign copies of her debut album, That’s Showbiz Baby.

Approximately 300 lucky ticket holders were allowed entrance to the store to meet the star for an up close and personal encounter. However, this was not the only appearance that Jade had made in the North East in the last 24 hours.

Jade surprised fans on Thursday when she announced on her social media channels. “Going live from the Angel Of The North at 9pm tonight. Anyone fancy coming down?”. A huge crowd descended upon the local landmark on Thursday evening to witness the star perform songs from her album from a burger van on site.

The artist later arrived at Reflex record store in Newcastle. The shop had a special midnight opening to celebrate the release of the artist’s record with a twilight meet and greet, along with an album signing session.

Fans of the South Shields originating artist couldn’t believe their luck with the number of opportunities to meet their musical idol this week.

The artist’s current run of promo appearances in the region follows Jade’s recent concert alongside the Royal Northern Sinfonia as part of the BBC Proms at the Glasshouse in Gateshead.

And for those fans of the Little Mix star who are still looking to witness the artist before the end of the year, there are still two more chances. Jade will perform at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle on Saturday, 18th October, and NX in Newcastle on the 23rd of October.
