Car hits parked vehicle and flips in Mount Maunganui, lane blocked

A car has flipped in Mount Maunganui leaving one person with moderate injuries.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Oceanbeach Rd, near the intersection of Concord Ave, at 9.40am.

A police spokesperson said a vehicle had hit a parked car and flipped.

“One person appears to have moderate
injuries and is being assessed by ambulance – they look to be the only person involved in the crash.

“The northbound lane is currently blocked while they await removal of the vehicle.”
