The tenth and final season of Queer Eye just dropped on Netflix, but the drama isn’t over yet, as Karamo Brown is seemingly feuding with the rest of the Fab Five. According to TMZ, the reported reason for the feud involves Karamo’s mother, Charmaine Brown, and something she overheard her son’s castmates say during a summer 2025 visit to the Queer Eye set.

Per the outlet, the incident in question took place while the Fab Five was filming season 10 in Washington, D.C. last summer. Apparently, Charmaine was given headphones and allowed to observe the filming process…but when Karamo briefly stepped away, a few of his costars (specifically, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, and Jonathan Van Ness) were “overheard judging their co-star and criticizing some of his life choices.”

Like a good mom, Charmaine reportedly then relayed those comments back to her son, who responded by severing ties with the group.

The Queer Eye cast has yet to weigh in on this story, but it is pretty telling that the only Fab Five member Karamo currently follows on Instagram (per People) is Jeremiah Brent, who reportedly wasn’t involved in the gossiping.

The news of a potential rift first broke on January 20, when Karamo abruptly pulled out of two live interviews he was supposed to do with the rest of the cast, the first of which was on CBS Mornings. Gayle King revealed his absence on air by reading a statement from Karamo, explaining that he didn’t show up for fear of “being bullied.”

Karamo’s absence became a topic of conversation again on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, where—in a statement to the NBC morning show—Karamo explained his decision to skip by saying that he “has felt mentally and emotionally abused for years” and was advised by his therapist “to protect himself and his peace by not attending.”

Stay tuned for the latest on this drama, because I fear this is just the beginning.
