Natalie Portman is sharing some rare insight into her son’s life.

While recalling her viral summer moment joining Role Model on stage during one of his shows, the Thor actress, 44, shared with host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that her son Aleph, 14, developed his own fashion line, titled DeVante.

“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called DeVante. I’m very proud of him,” she said. “He really just did it all on his own. And so I wore one of his shirts on stage. So I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting.”

Portman is a mom of two children — Amalia, 8, and son Aleph – whom she shares with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied. After separating in July 2023 and finalizing their divorce in February 2024, Portman and Millepied has kept co-parenting their children as their main priority.

“[Natalie’s] biggest priority has been ensuring a smooth transition for her children,” a source close to the exes told PEOPLE in March 2024. “She and Ben really love their kids and are equally focused on being the best co-parents they can be. Nothing is more important.”

While she tends to keep her children out of the spotlight, the mom of two shares small glimpses into her life as a mom during interviews.

During an interview with Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega for Interview Magazine, the Black Swan star said that they are her “source of excitement,” as she gets a front-row seat to their development.

“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she told Ortega. “Also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun.”

The star also spoke about wanting to keep her kids out of the public eye.

“I’m not a particularly private person in real life—I’ll tell you anything—but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more,” she explained. “I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids.’”

She also noted in the past that they are aware of her fame, sharing that her kids even encouraged her to take the role of Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder.

“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” Portman told Variety in June 2022.

“My 5-year-old and my 10-year-old [now 11] were so enthralled by this process, getting to visit the set and see me dressed up in a cape. It made it really cool,” she added. “You know, it’s very rare that my kids are like, ‘Please go to work!’ Usually, it’s quite the opposite.”
