Princess Eugenie’s pal has set the record straight on whether the royal has “cut off” her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, have faced a difficult few months after they saw their parents humiliated and removed from royal life,
King Charles axed Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s royal titles and honours due to their links to the late convicted sex offender. He also forced them to move out of Royal Lodge, their home in Windsor, since 2008.
“It’s Brooklyn Beckham level – she has completely cut him off.”
The two princesses sent shockwaves around the world on Christmas Day, when they were pictured at Sandringham with the rest of the royals, whilst their father cut a lonely figure in Windsor.
Now, a friend of the royal sisters has revealed whether they speak to their father at all.
They claimed Eugenie will not be estranged from Andrew forever, telling the outlet: “Andrew’s main concern is that his daughters are not tainted by his difficulties, so he is keeping his distance from them.”
“Bea and Eug feel very sorry for their parents. They are keeping in touch with them and making sure they’re OK.”
The source added: “Both Andrew and Sarah want their daughters to remain part of the Royal Family and were happy for them to spend Christmas in Norfolk.”
Andrew is set to move to a new home on the King’s Sandringham Estate soon, with removal vans spotted in Windsor.
