Drivers are facing a parking nightmare this morning after a popular parking app has reportedly gone down.

The RingGo service, which allows drivers to pay for parking via their smartphones or the web, has left many unable to secure spaces during the busy rush-hour period.

With the app serving 17,000 locations across 500 UK towns and cities, the technical failure has sparked widespread frustration for commuters and travelers alike.

A surge of affected users has taken to social media to report that the app is failing to load, preventing logins, registrations, and password resets.

One frustrated motorist shared their ordeal on X, stating they spent an entire 30-minute train journey attempting to pay, only for the app to remain non-functional despite being reinstalled. Many drivers have expressed deep concern over the possibility of receiving parking fines while the service remains offline and they are unable to process payments, Mirror reports.

One motorist reported on RingGo’s online live chat that they had spent 20 minutes trying to access the service to pay for their parking charges.

A RingGo operator replied: “Apologies, we are experiencing intermittent issues at the moment but we are working as quickly as possible to resolve this. Thank you for your continued patience. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve this.”
