TarraWarra International 2026
After a long pandemic pause, TarraWarra Museum of Art in Healesville, Australia, returns to the global stage with TarraWarra International 2026, a major exhibition that places contemporary art at the centre of urgent global conversations. Opening on March 21, 2026 and running through July, System Release brings together 10 leading artists from Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia and Mexico for a bold exploration of what happens when familiar systems begin to fracture.
Curated by Dr Emily Cormack, the exhibition reframes collapse as possibility, inviting visitors to engage with ideas shaped by First Nations knowledge, collective intelligence, and relationships between humans, other species, and the environment. With major works and new commissions, including artists who have exhibited at the Venice Biennale, this marks a significant cultural moment. twma.com.au
