PREMIAIR Racing has announced the shock return of Ludo Lacroix just weeks after he’d departed the team.

Lacroix left at the end of two full seasons as PremiAir competition director, finishing up on December 31 last year.

Now he’s back, in what would have to be one of Supercars’ shortest break-ups.

Lacroix’s second PremiAir stint began yesterday, but this time he will be in a non-travelling capacity.

That will involve him aiding the Chevrolet team’s brains trust on a part-time basis, and from afar on race weekends – besides those where Super2 will feature as a support category, given his newfound role with Anderson Motorsport.

“We’re pleased to welcome Ludo Lacroix back to PremiAir Racing for the 2026 Supercars season,” read a team statement on social media this morning.

“Joining us in a part-time consultancy role, Ludo’s technical insight and experience will be a valuable addition as we continue building for success.”

Lacroix is a proven winner in both hemispheres, his Supercars resume stacked with accomplishments across Triple Eight and Dick Johnson Racing.

His return is a boost to PremiAir, which will again count young guns Andrew Gilliam and Simon Hodge as its race engineers.

While Lacroix had cited travel time to/from the squad’s Arundel headquarters as a bugbear, V8 Sleuth understands PremiAir is investigating relocating north to be closer to Brisbane.
