One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in northwest Auckland.

Emergency services were notified of the crash on Nelson Rd in Taupaki about 5.20pm.

Police said Nelson Rd remained closed, and diversions were in place.

The Serious Crash Unit was in attendance, and inquiries into the circumstances of
the crash were ongoing.
