In a show of support for the disgraced former Duke, Princess Beatrice was pictured alongside her four-year-old daughter, Sienna Mopelli Mozzi, on horseback in the grounds of Windsor estate, visiting her father. Walking ahead was Andrew, leading the party, also on horseback.
Speaking about the images, Afua Hagan told Newsweek: “I do think there is a reputational risk, absolutely, for either of them to be associating themselves with Andrew, especially publicly.”
The royal commentator added: “Beatrice and Andrew were probably horse riding privately in a private estate, but she was photographed, and that’s not great.
“I’m sure she feels that, of course, she has some loyalty towards him; he is her father after all. But I do think there is definitely a reputational risk here.”
She went on to say: “It’s difficult for me to say, ‘You know what, you should cut off your father,’ you know what I mean? And no matter what he’s done, he is still her dad.”
Beatrice did, however, invite her parents to the christening of her daughter, Athena, in London in December.
As of late 2025, the King formally stripped Andrew of his remaining royal, military and ceremonial titles, including the style of His Royal Highness, reducing his public status to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, due to the revelations of his association with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
