TL;DR

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is finally available for purchase in the US.
It costs a whopping $2,899 and doesn’t have any discounts.
Samsung is only selling it through its own online and offline channels and skipping carriers and third-party retailers.

The Galaxy Z TriFold won’t be sold by any third-party sellers, such as Amazon or Walmart, or through carriers for now. It is available exclusively via Samsung’s own channels, and you can buy it on its online store. If you want to try the TriFold before buying it, you can do that through one of the company’s various Experience Stores in California, Texas, New York, and Minnesota. You can find details about those here.

Unlike other Samsung flagship launches, we’re not seeing any early bird offers. That, to me, is a good call, because lowering the price could dilute the TriFold’s perception as a luxury product.

According to recent industry estimates, Samsung plans to produce only 30,000 units of the TriFold, a minuscule volume compared with other Samsung flagships, which are produced in much higher volumes.

A bold tri-fold phone that turns into a tablet-sized screen

Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold is the company’s most ambitious foldable design yet, pushing beyond the familiar book-style form factor. Using two hinges instead of one, the device unfolds into a large, tablet-like display while still collapsing into a pocketable shape. The design aims to enhance multitasking and productivity, offering significantly more screen space for apps, media, and split-screen workflows.
