CAMERON Hill’s first drive in Brad Jones Racing colours has come aboard none other than an AU Falcon V8 Supercar.
Namely, the car from his new boss Brad Jones’ first full season in the championship, 2000.
The opportunity for Hill came in his hometown – i.e. the nation’s capital – as part of this weekend’s Canberra Festival of Speed.
Hill has joined BJR after three seasons at Matt Stone Racing, with whom he broke through for a race win last March at Albert Park.
The 29-year-old is awaiting his first taste of the all-new Supra Supercar as BJR joins Walkinshaw TWG Racing in running Toyotas this season.
Pending timeframes, Hill will be eligible to complete a new-car shakedown prior to the category-wide pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 18.
