The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) has opened applications for the 2026 DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program (DBN-ETP), inviting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Anambra State to apply for free business training and grant funding worth ₦8.5 million.
The programme is being implemented in partnership with the Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA) as DBN’s official state partner for the 2026 rollout.
About the DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program
The DBN Entrepreneurship Training Programme is DBN’s flagship capacity-building initiative designed to strengthen the sustainability, bankability, and growth potential of MSMEs across Nigeria.
For the 2026 edition, DBN aims to train over 100,000 MSMEs nationwide, with 3,000 entrepreneurs targeted in Anambra State.
Program Structure
The training will be delivered through the BizAid Learning Management System (LMS) and includes:
Free, self-paced online business training
Modules on business management, financial literacy, and sustainability
In-person business development workshop for top performers
Only participants who complete four mandatory modules and score at least 80% will qualify for the next stage.
Grant Opportunities
Participants stand a chance to win grants through a competitive selection process:
50 top-performing participants will be invited to an in-person workshop in Anambra State (June 2026)
15 entrepreneurs will be selected as final grant winners
₦8.5 million in grants will be shared among the 15 winners
All participants on the learning platform can also compete for a ₦50 million national cash prize pool
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be owners of micro, small or medium enterprises
Operate a business in Anambra State
Complete all required online modules
Provide CAC registration or proof of business name registration before grant disbursement
