NANLITE has introduced two new high-output additions to its FC series, the 750W bi-color FC-720B and the full-color FC-720C. Both are positioned as compact, Bowens-mount spotlights for filmmakers who need serious output. If you regularly find yourself trying to simulate sunlight through a window or push light across a larger interview setup, these are clearly aimed at that workflow.
The FC series has been expanding steadily over the past few years. We previously looked at NANLITE’s smaller FC-60B and FC-120B models, as well as the RGB-based FC-120C, which introduced the full-color engine into the more compact end of the lineup. With the 720B and 720C, NANLITE is now pushing that same design language and control structure into its highest-output FC fixtures to date.
Output and positioning
Both fixtures are rated at 750W and use a standard 45° reflector for the quoted output figures. The NANLITE FC-720B has a maximum output of 12,690 lux @3m (9.8 ft) at 5600K with the 45° reflector. The NANLITE FC-720C outputs 11,400 lux @3m (9.8 ft) at 5600K with the same reflector, and reaches 3,700 lux @3m (9.8 ft) in green. That places them in the range of larger key lights or daylight simulation in smaller locations. The 720B gives you slightly more white-light output, while the 720C trades some of that intensity for extended color control.

The key difference between the two fixtures is the light engine. The NANLITE FC-720B is a bi-color unit, covering a CCT range of 2,700K to 6,500K, which keeps it in standard tungsten-to-daylight territory. It offers CCT and Effect modes, along with two output behaviors: Maximum Output and Constant Output. Maximum Output prioritizes brightness at the selected color temperature, while Constant Output maintains consistent intensity across the entire CCT range.
The NANLITE FC-720C, by contrast, uses a full-color LED engine. It ranges from 2,400K up to 12,000K and adds ±150 green/magenta adjustment, giving more flexibility in mixed lighting situations or when building color directly in-camera. It includes CCT, HSI, RGBW, Gel, and Effect modes, along with 460 built-in gels and 15 adjustable effects.

Both fixtures share the same control structure found across the FC series. Onboard operation is handled via a 2-inch display with dual knobs and dedicated buttons, giving direct access to CCT, hue, saturation, and dimming. Brightness can be adjusted in 0.1% increments, which allows for fine exposure control when balancing with ambient light or practicals.
For wireless workflows, both units support the NANLINK App 2.0, enabling remote adjustment and grouping across multiple fixtures. Wired control is available through 5-pin XLR DMX IN and OUT ports, with support for DMX/RDM integration into console-based lighting setups. NFC pairing is also included to streamline app connection and assist with batch DMX configuration.

Both fixtures weigh approximately 4.4 kg (9.7 lb), which is manageable for a 750W LED head. The yoke supports 360° tilt of the fixture body, and both models use a standard Bowens mount with umbrella compatibility.
For sound-sensitive environments, four fan modes are available: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and Off. Smart mode automatically adjusts cooling based on load, while Off mode disables the fan for silent operation.
Price and availability
The NANLITE FC-720B is priced at $649, and the FC-720C at $749. Both fixtures are shipping now and will be showcased at the BSC Expo in London in February 2026. Additional information is available on the NANLITE website.
