A beloved NBC sitcom is officially arriving on Netflix today following the show’s cancellation last year.
Night Court, a reboot of the 1984 legal comedy series of the same name, is officially moving to Netflix. All three seasons of the show will be on the platform, following NBC cancelling the show in 2025.
The Night Court reboot starred Melissa Rauch as Abby Stone, the daughter of the late Harry Stone. Alongside Rauch, the series also stars India de Beaufort as Olivia Moore, Lacretta as Gurgs Gurganous, John Larroquette as Dan Fielding, Pete Holmes as Rand, and Gary Anthony Williams as Judge Flobert.
“Unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone, the daughter of the late Harry Stone, follows in her father’s footsteps as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics, most notably former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding,” reads the series’ official synopsis.
In addition to starring as the lead character, Raunch also serves as the show’s executive producer alongside Dan Rubin and Winston Rauch. Night Court is produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with After January Productions and Universal Television.
The first season of the show premiered in 2023, with two more seasons following it. Season 3 finished airing on May 6, 2025, and the show was subsequently canceled. The first season of the show averaged about 5 million viewers, with the second and third seasons taking a bit of a dip.
