Read Time:2 Minute, 6 Second

It’s almost time to play the bloody game of cat and mouse once again as Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) is back for more carnage in fused mayhem in the sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. Weaving returns from the sleeper hit that was unleashed a few years back and this time, the stakes are even higher and so is the body count. Scroll below for the newest trailer and get ready to play!

Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.

From the acclaimed directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (better known as Radio Silence), who also gave us the sensationally bloody gem Abigail, Weaving is in more trouble as the events of the first film have unraveled leading to her and her reluctant sister to take on more bloodthirsty wealthy families with way too much time on their hands. Check out the crescendo of carnage, chaos and blood thirsty mayhem in store as this sequel looks to up the epic quotient of what is now a franchise!

The cast surrounding them is epic including Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings), Shawn Hatosy (The Faculty), Néstor Carbonell (Lost), Kevin Durand (Abigail), and prolific horror and genre filmmaker David Cronenberg. The additional cast also includes Kara Wooten (Revival), Juan Pablo Romero (Please, After You), Varun Saranga (Wynonna Earp), Masa Lizdek (Simulant), Nadeem Umar-Khitab (Wedding Season), Daniel Beirne (Ginny & Georgia), Antony Hall (Run the Burbs), and Olivia Cheng (Warrior).

The Ready or Not movies feel like the John Wick franchise in that the first film, which was a small affair, came out of nowhere, hit audiences over the head with lethal blunt force trauma and now has grown into a vaster universe where the mythology is way bigger than we could have ever imagined. Plus, Weaving is a surefire star in the making and Kathryn Newton (who starred in Radio Silence’s Abigail), who joins this twisted world as her sister, looks more than able to keep up when the bloodletting commences.
