A BMW M3 once raced to victory by Peter Brock has hit the market with a cool asking price of $800,000 attached.
Having been in current owner David Towe’s possession for 15 years, the car – which was raced by three different ATCC champions – has been listed this week via my105.com.
It debuted for JPS Team BMW in the 1987 Bathurst 1000 in the hands of Robbie Francevic and Ludwig Finauer, placing sixth.
Its next chapter came carrying the #1 for Jim Richards at Mobil 1 Racing.
Following the 1988 regular season, Richards and Brock teamed up in the car to win the Pepsi 250 at Oran Park.
The car, which is back in JPS colours, has continued running sporadically in the decades since across various ownership periods and is being sold in “genuine race-ready condition” with an “extensive” spares package.
A similar 1987 Group A M3 was listed for $600,000 in 2024.
