Apple TV+’s sci-fi show about a world with literal separation of work and personal lives led Emmy nominations with an impressive 27 nods, and was in the running for best drama series alongside Apple TV+’s “Slow Horses,” Disney+’s “Andor,” Netflix’s “The Diplomat,” HBO’s “The Last of Us,” and “The White Lotus,” Hulu’s “Paradise,” HBO Max’s “The Pitt.”
Created by Ben Stiller, “Severance” follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott) as he leads a team at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives.

“Severance” won eight of the 27 awards it was nominated for during Sunday’s ceremony. The series won in the following categories:

Season 2 of the series, which broke records as the most-watched series on Apple TV+, saw Mark and his coworkers learn “the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe,” reads the series description on Apple TV+.
