Cyclist seriously injured after a crash in Napier, cordons in place

A cyclist has been airlifted to a hospital in Wellington after being seriously injured in a crash involving a car in Napier on Monday.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Avondale Rd in Greenmeadows at 8.21am.

Hato Hone St John sent one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and
one operations manager.

The injured person received medical treatment, and the Serious Crash Unit was advised.

Police said the cyclist was later airlifted to Wellington Hospital.
