Rousset, France – Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 – LJF Games is thrilled to announce the second edition of the Kritter Creator Beta, running from February 10th to February 17th. Following the success of the “BattleChips” overhaul, this exclusive playtest introduces the highly anticipated Ninja class, a brutal new endgame encounter, and a deep meta-progression system that rewards every strategic move.
Kritter: Defend Together also reached above 10k wishlists. Coming closer to a successful release in Q1 2026.
About the Game
In Kritter: Defend Together, smash through hordes of enemies solo or with up to 4 players in co-op. Is it an action roguelite? A tower defense? Hard to say… What we do know is that you and your crew will become absurdly powerful while following a surprisingly cool story.

A New Era of Combat & Strategy
The Second Creator Beta expands the world of Kritter with new content designed to push your BattleChips builds to their limits. It introduces a new class, a new missions and challenges system, and new Act 2 content, including a boss fight designed to be one of the best in its genre.
“The boss fight of Act 2 is a massive exclusive for this beta. It features arguably the best music in the game so far, we can’t wait to see players’ reactions.” — Bastien, co-founder and lead dev.
Key Features of the Creator Beta v2:
The Ninja Joins the Fray:Â A high-mobility class built for precision and speed. The Ninja wields a lethal toolkit, featuring kunai for high long-range damage, a scarecrow to draw enemy aggro, and a dash that slices through enemies in its path.

Act 2 Boss Premiere: Prepare for a showdown. The end of Act 2 is now live, featuring a complex, multi-phase encounter paired with a pulse-pounding original score. This boss fight delivers the best music in the game so far, alongside deep, hardcore combat mechanics and a strong thematic identity.
Missions & Challenges: Post-run statistics now serve a greater purpose. Complete over 15 new quests based on your performance to unlock rare BattleChips or entirely new rooms and modules inside M.Ark.

Quality of Life & Multiplayer Enhancements
The team has focused on making the Kritter experience smoother for global players and streamers:
Deep Stat Tracking: At the end of each run, players can now view dozens of specific metrics to analyze their build’s efficiency.
Trophy System (Demo Mode): While currently limited to the public demo, the framework for a permanent challenge/trophy system is now being tested.
Expanded Hardware Support: Comprehensive UI updates now include button prompts for PlayStation, Switch, and Steam Deck, alongside full AZERTY and QWERTY keyboard support.
Refined Gameplay: Significant rebalancing has been implemented, including smarter enemy AI and realistic environmental interactions (e.g., Flamethrowers no longer penetrate solid rock)
About the studio
LJF Games is a studio with a singing accent. Well… I say that because it’s based in Aix-en-Provence, but actually it doesn’t sing that much since it was founded by two Bisontins (that’s not an insult, it’s just what you call people from Besançon).
Bastien and Tom started their adventure of making their own video games during Covid, back in 2020. A year later, they finished their first game, Timo’s Adventures, released on PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile. After the success of their first title (finishing a game already counts as a success, doesn’t it?), they began working on a second, much more ambitious one: Kritter: Defend Together.
Â
Since then, things have accelerated. The company was officially founded, prizes were won, grants were secured, and some amazing people joined the team. Today, LJF Games is on the verge of releasing its second game. The atmosphere in the office is festive; people often sing. So in the end, maybe Bisontins do have a singing accent after all!
