Well, that didn’t last long. After just over a month, Gigi Hadid has said goodbye to her dramatic hair transformation and returned to a natural color and simple long style. Walking the runway at the Ralph Lauren fashion show during New York Fashion Week on February 10, the model rocked soft, silky bronde waves in piece-y layers and a center part. Her hair was a light brunette shade with subtle blonde highlights.

It marked a major transition from her most recent look: a sharp, flippy ultra dark brown, almost black bob, which she styled in a wet effect look. Hadid debuted the bob back in January in an Instagram post by her stylist Dimitris Giannetos. At the time, he dubbed the look a “matte black mini bob” as he showed off Hadid’s new cut and color.

Hadid’s return to a bronde shade closer to her natural color came as she strutted the runway for Ralph Lauren in two looks that matched her new soft brown hair. She wore a two piece set comprised of a long brown skirt and a cropped corset-style tank top along with a black turtleneck and knee-high boots. During a different part of the show, she stunned in a brown velvet halter gown with a ’20s-coded mesh fluttery sleeve detail.
Last month, Giannetos told InStyle of Hadid’s hair tranformation: “We wanted to do something different, something Gigi has never done,. Matte black is the new black of 2026. It’s the cool, modern Gen Z black.”
He added: “The mini bob is cool, it’s sexy, it’s modern. You can play [with it] behind the ear, you can leave some face-framing pieces. It’s very new and effortless.”
