ROLI is launching a new product, the AI Music Coach.
The AI assistant is the latest addition to the London-based brand’s Learn app, which also includes its music-learning product, Piano, and works with ROLI’s Airwave infrared hand-tracking technology/device.Â
The AI Music Coach utilises ROLI’s theremin-like Airwave controller that tracks “all 27 joints in each of your hands at 90 frames per second”. Crucially, this means it can offer you real-time feedback on your playing as well as voice-controlled lessons spanning 40 languages.
You can use the ROLI Airwave either with your own keyboard or the ROLI Piano.
According to ROLI, it combines “advanced hand tracking, natural voice interaction, and expertly designed musical content to help you make faster, more meaningful progress at the piano”.
A ROLI Airwave is priced at £299, while a subscription to the Learn app starts at £13 a month, or £70 for the year. The ROLI Piano is £499. There are also bundles available on the ROLI site. Take a first look at the AI Music Coach below and find out more from ROLI here.
Piano was launched last January and is designed to guide users on their piano learning journey, with each key lighting up depending on which you’re supposed to play next.Â
Back in 2022, ROLI launched a new version of its flagship Seaboard controller, the RISE 2.
