Bridgerton Season 4 brings Benedict and Sophie’s story to life, based on Julia Quinn’s third book in the series, An Offer from a Gentleman. Netflix recently released the trailer for Part 2, featuring Benedict and Sophie’s struggle as they try to suppress their feelings.
However, there is a greater red flag in the trailer. In one of the scenes in the trailer, we see Anthony warn Benedict that Sophie may not be “reason enough to risk everything.” Given the Viscount’s penchant for prioritizing family reputation over personal desire, he might end up being a thorn in Benedict’s path.
While society will prove to be a bigger challenge, it won’t help Benedict to face opposition from his own family, that too from his older brother and Viscount. His strictness might hamper his brother’s chance at happiness. But given he now has Kate to reason with him, she might help him see differently.
Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 Has Benedict Losing His Mind Over Social Standards
The trailer for Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 is here, and it has brought along a lot of yearning, drama, and risks. In the trailer, we see Benedict trying to approach Sophie several times, but she is trying to run away from him. She even states at one point that being a mistress is the last thing she wants to be.
Meanwhile, Benedict is losing his mind over social standards and not being able to be with the woman he wants to. We see him struggling and trying to find a way to be with Sophie. While Anthony seems to be trying to reason with him, Colin, on the other hand, is seen telling his brother to be brave and follow his heart.
In one scene, he is seen telling Sophie that he has found something, which might mean he knows her identity. But by the end of the trailer, Sophie and Benedict cannot keep away from each other, and we get a sneak peek of their upcoming romantic moments.
Apart from our leads, we can also spot John and Francesca struggling with their marriage now that Michaela is there to crash at their London home, as well as Violet Bridgerton having more ‘tea’ time with Lord Marcus Anderson.

Ahead of the release of Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2, Shondaland recently released an exclusive clip from the season. Posted on their Instagram, in the clip, we see Benedict catching Sophie in his study.
Sophie finds the drawings Benedict has of the Lady in Silver and asks him what she means to him. Benedict replies that while he had feelings for the mysterious woman, he admits that no one matters but Sophie, and it is her he wants to be with.
While fans are going crazy over the scene in the comments, there is no denying that he is infatuated with her to the point he is ready to let go of the Lady in Silver for a ‘maid.’
