Paramedics at the scene assessed a patient, who was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.
It is not yet known if the injured person was travelling in the truck or another vehicle.
One westbound lane was reopened around 11.45am, NZTA said, with the final lane freed up by 12.30pm.

Traffic cameras showed heavy congestion for westbound vehicles, with traffic heading into the city also slowing to a crawl.
“All lanes are now open. Allow extra time for congestion in the area to ease,” NZTA said.
Westbound traffic was stalled from the Waterview Connection interchange for several hours, while eastbound traffic slowed significantly around the Patiki Rd and Rosebank Rd turn-offs.
Google Traffic data showed vehicle movement being restricted in both directions, although it has since softened.
