Jimmy Kimmel fired back at Donald Trump after the president launched a scathing attack on him in a recent fundraising email titled “MAGA Blitz.”
On Monday, February 23, Jimmy Kimmel Live! returned following a week-long hiatus, and the 58 year old late-night host wasted no time addressing the 79 year old president’s jab, in which he labeled Kimmel a “ratings-starved hack” during his opening monologue.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, February 19, Trump reignited his ongoing feud with Kimmel by unleashing his harshest tirade to date. The email, which opened with the subject line, “Get Trump out of your mouth!” served as a rallying cry to join his “MAGA Rally Blitz.”

During his monologue, Kimmel offered a straightforward response, “What even is that?” This follows Kimmel’s previous criticism of “vile” Trump after he shared a racist video featuring Barack and Michelle Obama, reports the Mirror US.
At the episode’s opening, Kimmel revealed that he struggled to enjoy his recent break, as he found himself glued to the news. Yet, the personal mention in Trump’s fundraising email ended up being the standout moment of his time away.
Kimmel shared with viewers, “We’re back to work after a week off. I got to tell you something, I can’t even enjoy being off anymore. What it is I watch-I can’t stop watching the news and Trump does so much stuff.

Kimmel fired back at Donald Trump
“I feel like when we’re off it’s like I’m on vacation somewhere watching my house on a Ring cam and an alligator walks in and there’s nothing you can do but watch it and then just try to assess the damage when you get back.
“We were gone for a week. One week. He’s now at war with the Supreme Court, he’s threatening a real war with Iran, he’s firing off tariffs, 10 percent, 15 percent, he’s got the FCC threatening talk shows, he’s threatening Netflix, he’s all of a sudden planning to release the UFO files and and it really makes you stop and wonder what the hell could be in those three million Trump-Epstein files they’re still hiding.”
Kimmel went on, “He’s working so hard to distract us from – the only thing he hasn’t done is set his nipples on fire,” before referencing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kid Rock’s latest MAHA video campaign, which showed them exercising without shirts.

Jimmy Kimmel had a 4-word clap back after Donald Trump called him a ‘ratings-starved hack’ in his ‘MAGA Blitz’ email
The late-night host remarked, “Speaking of nipples, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I don’t know what his goal is… and just like that the MAHA movement has their Siegfried and Roy. Congratulations.”
Kimmel then targeted Trump’s fundraising email, “So many things happened over the break. This one hit me personally. Over the break, a fundraising email from one of his many money grabs was sent to a number of followers. The subject line was ‘DJT: Get Trump Out Of Your Mouth,’ which again, some how not a line from the Trump-Epstein files.”
Kimmel proceeded to read aloud: “Hey, Did you see it? Ratings-starved hack Jimmy Kimmel is back at it again,” pausing to interject, “For the record, I was in my house doing nothing.”
He went on: “He’s on his failing late-night show which, by the way, has terrible numbers, just total disaster numbers–trying to mock YOU and our movement. The poor guy just LOVES to have my name in his mouth. Because he knows that without Trump, HE’D HAVE NO CAREER AT ALL! He thinks he can sit in his Hollywood studio and laugh at the greatest political movement in the history of our country.”

The ABC host has dedicated months to responding to the president’s remarks during his broadcasts.
Kimmel quipped: “Yeah, he does. Sometimes I stand, sometimes I sit and laugh,” before resuming the message: “He thinks his tired jokes can stop us. He is wrong. While he’s busy reading a teleprompter for a tiny audience of coastal elites, I’m getting ready to address a massive crowd of MAGA PATRIOTS at the State of the Union.”
The comedian remarked: “Oh by the way, we will have a special show tomorrow night to laugh at all the stupid things he says at that MAGA State of the Union, ” before finishing the email: “I need millions of MAGA Patriots to step up today and show Jimmy Kimmel that his words have NOTHING on MAGA, and that this movement will forever have more support than he could ever dream of! Join my MAGA Rally Blitz now and I’II add you to my exclusive 2026 MAGA Membership!”
Kimmel joked, “That is tempting. We could be part of his MAGA rally Blitz. What even is that? It’s like something you order at Dairy Queen right? But please, give until his feelings don’t hurt anymore folks. Why is a president in his second term even sending fundraising emails? I don’t know maybe he needs it to pay all the Big Beautiful tariffs he has to give back now?”

Trump has maintained a long-standing obsession with Kimmel.
The ABC host, meanwhile, has dedicated months to responding to the president’s remarks during his broadcasts. In a particularly heated segment, he confronted Trump regarding his statements about Renee Good and Alex Pretti, the two U.S. citizens fatally shot by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis last month.
Following Trump’s dismissal of the victims as no “angels,” Kimmel fired back, “How dare you weigh in on what they were and what they weren’t?” He then directed the president to “keep your stupid thoughts in your diaper where they belong.”
