Celebrating 15 Years of musical prominence

The XV Tour commemorates 15 years of Anirudh’s remarkable musical journey, from breakout composer to global live performer. The young composer has redefined Indian film music with genre-blending compositions, chart-topping singles, and electrifying stage performances.

With a catalogue exceeding 13 billion global streams and a strong international touring track record, the XV Tour stands as both a celebration and a statement. It captures the evolution of an artist who has grown from a youthful prodigy into one of the most influential musical forces in contemporary Indian cinema.

The tour narrative centres on this evolution, charting his journey through a carefully curated all-era musical format designed to deliver an immersive, high-energy experience.

Unlike traditional concert formats, the XV Tour has been conceptualised as a large-scale arena spectacle tailored specifically for indoor venues.

The production features a new creative build with enhanced lighting architecture, dynamic visuals and arena-optimised sound design. Audiences can expect a large-format stage experience engineered for maximum immersion, from pulsating LED displays to precision sound calibration that transforms the venue into a high-octane live experience.

Crowd Favourites and High-Energy Anthems

The setlist is expected to deliver a powerful lineup of crowd favourites that have dominated streaming charts and stadium playlists worldwide. Among the anticipated highlights are Powerhouse, Thalapathy Katcheri, Pathikichu, Kanave Kanave, Hoyna and Arabic Kuthu.

These tracks represent different phases of Anirudh’s career, from emotionally resonant ballads to explosive dance floor anthems, reinforcing the all-era journey format that defines the XV Tour.

Auckland has been positioned as the exclusive New Zealand tour stop, reinforcing the City’s growing status as a destination for international Indian arena events. Following the performance in the Trusts Arena on June 1, 2026, the tour will continue to major Australian cities as part of its wider Australia and New Zealand rollout.

The XV Tour is being organised and presented by Maestro Productions Global and co-presented by Ishtara Jewellery, Singapore.

In New Zealand, the event is powered by Legendary Mortgages & Insurances. Supporting the New Zealand rollout is Rambutan Media Works NZ Limited, helmed by Yugendran Vasudevan, playing a key role in community engagement and promotional strategy. Additional key partners include ticketing partner iTicket, migration and visa partner The Migrationist, and New Zealand print media partner Indian Newslink.

Elevating Indian Live Entertainment

Beyond the spectacle itself, the XV Tour represents a broader shift in the positioning of Indian concerts within the New Zealand entertainment ecosystem. Historically limited in scale, such events are now evolving into arena-level productions that mirror international touring standards.

With strong catalogue strength, proven global touring success and a production framework designed for arena-scale impact, the XV Tour signals a new chapter for Indian live music in the Australasia region.

The Dawn of a New Era

Anirudh Ravichander has established himself as a pre-eminent force within the Indian film music landscape.

His journey commenced in 2012 when he was just 21 years old, a time when the digital age was beginning to transform how audiences consumed art.

His debut track became a global sensation, marking the first time a South Indian song had achieved such extensive international reach. This early success was not merely a stroke of luck but a precursor to a career defined by innovation and a deep understanding of contemporary tastes.

He has since become the primary choice for major cinematic productions, consistently delivering soundtracks that resonate with millions of listeners.

Crafting a Unique Identity

What distinguishes Anirudh from his contemporaries is his ability to blend traditional elements with modern electronic sounds. He frequently incorporates Indian classical instruments alongside heavy basslines and synthesisers, creating a soundscape that is both familiar and futuristic.

His use of the Nadaswaram or the Veena in conjunction with global pop beats demonstrates a level of musical maturity that is rare in the industry. This approach has allowed him to appeal to diverse demographics, from young urban listeners to those who appreciate more conventional melodies. He is known for his meticulous attention to detail during the production process, often spending many hours to perfect a single loop or vocal layer. This dedication to quality ensures that his music remains relevant long after a film has left the cinemas.

Mass Appeal and Viral Success

The commercial impact of the work of Anirudh is undeniable.

It is estimated that 90% of his releases achieve viral status on social media platforms within the first few hours of their launch. This success is often attributed to his knack for creating catchy hooks and high-energy background scores that enhance the cinematic experience.

In many instances, his music has been cited as a primary reason for the commercial success of a film. Producers and directors often seek his involvement because his brand carries a guarantee of audience engagement. His ability to create Anthems for the megastars in the industry has solidified his position as a hitmaker who understands the pulse of the masses.

Expanding the Musical Horizon

Anirudh has not confined his talents to the recording studio alone. He is one of the few music directors in India who has successfully transitioned into a performing artist with a massive following. His live concerts are spectacles of light and sound, often attracting tens of thousands of fans.

These performances have taken him across the globe, from London to Dubai, showcasing the international appeal of his music.

He has expressed a desire to collaborate with international artists, which could further elevate the profile of Indian music on the world stage.

His influence extends beyond the charts as he continues to mentor young talent and push the boundaries of what is possible in film composition.

As he continues to evolve, Anirudh Ravichander may prove to be larger than a music director, as a cultural icon. He has navigated the complexities of the industry with grace and has remained at the top for over 10 years. His contributions have not only enriched the films he works on but have also set a new standard for musical excellence.

With several high-profile projects currently in development, his journey is far from over.

He will certainly continue to surprise and delight his audience with his unique sonic visions for many years to come.
