The final timed programme for the 2026 New Zealand Track and Field Championships is now live. Across four days, more than 860 athletes are confirmed to compete, setting up a jam-packed four days of track and field action, featuring New Zealand’s top athletes alongside rising age‑group talent.

Track Stars debuts as the headline session, built for a packed crowd and primetime energy. The evening show is live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+ as domestic athletics returns to mainstream TV for the first time this century. 

Polynesian Track and Field Championships

Running alongside nationals, the Polynesian Track and Field Championships will showcase top athletes from across Polynesia, adding international flavour and fresh rivalries to the programme. The integrated schedule means fans will see New Zealand’s best competing alongside visiting teams.

The championship precinct will feature a curated line‑up of food trucks and local vendors offering favourites for all tastes, plus coffee, cold drinks, and sweet options to keep you going throughout the day.
