Dr. Robert Atnip participated in Chiropractic Day on the Hill on February 24, 2026 at the Tennessee State Capitol. Hosted by the Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA), the annual advocacy event brings together chiropractic professionals, students, and supporters to engage directly with lawmakers on issues affecting the chiropractic profession and the patients they serve.
“In a legislative environment where thousands of decisions are made each year, showing up is not symbolic — it is strategic,” said Tiffany Stevens, TCA Executive Director. “Chiropractic Day on the Hill ensures our profession is not overlooked, undervalued, or left out of critical health care conversations.”
Throughout the day, Dr. Atnip and his fellow participants from across Tennessee met with state legislators to discuss challenges impacting care at the local level, including the need to address unfair practices within Tennessee’s payer systems that negatively affect chiropractic physicians and their patients. Additional discussions focused on improving health care access, strengthening patient outcomes, and advancing whole-health approaches to care.
TCA coordinated meetings for attendees and welcomed special guests, including Secretary of State Tre Hargett and chiropractic physician Rep. Brock Martin of Tennessee District 79, who shared his experiences as both a past participant and as a current legislator, and the importance of building grassroots relationships.
“Participating in Day on the Hill allows me to speak directly with lawmakers about how policy decisions impact patients in our community,” said Dr. Atnip. “I’m proud to advocate for efforts that protect patient access to care and support the chiropractic profession in Tennessee.”
