A person injured in a three-vehicle crash near Palmerston North earlier this week has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Kairanga Bunnythorpe Road at about 7.50am on Wednesday.

Police said two people were taken to hospital in critical condition.

“Sadly, on 27 February, one of those two
people sadly died in hospital,” a spokesperson said.

“Police extend their condolences to their loved ones at this difficult time.”
