Police confirm death not suspicious after body discovered at Plummers Point

Police are not treating the death of a person found on a Western Bay of Plenty beach as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to Plummers Point Rd about 8.15am on Wednesday after a body was found on the beach by a member of the public.

Police
later cordoned off the Huharua end of Plummers Point Rd, and were seen walking the beach below.

In a statement today, a police spokesperson confirmed “the death is not being treated as suspicious”.
