Fur Rendezvous visitors this week headed down to Ship Creek Avenue to view the Alaska State Snow Sculpture Championship, one of the premier events of the winter festival.
Carvers competing in five divisions transformed 8-foot blocks of snow into frozen art. Cold nights and clear skies have kept the sculptures in pristine shape since judging on Sunday.
