There is no shortage of museum galas these days. From New York City’s Met Gala to the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, there are ample opportunities for the worlds of Hollywood, fashion, and art to intertwine. But last year, the Musée du Louvre offered up its own take on a fundraising event—and, as to be expected with the Parisian museum, it was a particularly glamorous affair.
Now, the Grand Dîner du Louvre returned with its second annual edition, inviting actors, musicians, and designers to take a walk through the impressive art collections after hours in the name of raising funds to safeguard the museum’s heritage. The theme of the evening—“Le Louvre, la nuit,” or “The Louve, by night”—provided a central thesis for the dress code, from which stars interpreted with regal gold embellishments (Olandria Carthen in Khaled & Marwan, sombr in custom Valentino), artistic references (Princess Maria Chiara and Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies in Rahul Mishra), and fantastical Iris Van Herpen creations (Barbara Palvin, Diane Kruger, Eileen Gu).
Elsewhere, Anya Taylor Joy brought classic elegance to the Louvre with a champagne silk midi dress, and Alex Consani went transparent in a look from Duran Lantink’s forthcoming Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2026 collection (which will show on Sunday, March 8). Suni Lee’s Tony Ward couture gown featured cape details, and Adot Gak’s sculptural Rahul Mishra piece rivaled the statues on display.
