The highly anticipated Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is gearing up for the grand release on Eid 2026, i.e. March 19. The overseas advances for the Ranveer Singh starrer opened earlier this week to an expectedly roaring start. The attention now shifts to the domestic market, where similar fireworks are expected.
The wait will not be long. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that the advance bookings in India are set to open tomorrow (March 7) across national chains and key multiplexes. Ticket sales will go live immediately after the launch of the theatrical trailer, which is scheduled to drop tomorrow. The sale plans will commence on a provisional censor certificate while the final certification process is completed.
Anticipating the sky-high buzz and the enormous demand, the national chains are introducing a higher ticket pricing labelled as “Super Blockbuster Plus”. Normally the tentpole releases get “Super Blockbuster” and “Blockbuster” pricing, which is around 10-25 per cent higher than normal. At nearly four hours runtime, it also makes logistical sense for the cinemas to have higher than normal prices.
We at Pinkvilla Predicts, have forecasted the opening day figure of Dhurandhar 2 to be in the vicinity of Rs. 75 crore to Rs. 90 crore, with a pinpoint prediction of Rs. 85 crore. The movie is likely to face capacity issues in almost all domestic markets.
For the unversed, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is among the hottest films of Indian cinema this year. Unlike the original film, the sequel is releasing in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. It will be interesting to see how the Ranveer Singh film performs outside the Hindi regions.
Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
