Back definition, however, needs work.

More like Ripped-a the Hutt, amirite? Empire has a first-look image of Rotta the Hutt, the Jeremy Allen White–voiced son of Jabba the Hutt, from the upcoming film The Mandalorian and Grogu. And he’s fucking jacked. Dude has pecs and a whatever-number-of-pack Hutt biology allows. He looks like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., minus the jeans and plus shoulder armor.

Rotta’s abs raise serious questions about Hutt biology. In general, Hutts read as a frog-slug hybrid, neither of which is known for muscle definition. The abdominal muscles in bipeds are used to stabilize the body for upright mobility — sitting up, bending, etc. The way a Hutt moves would require stronger back muscles, holding the chest and head up as it slugs across a room. Rotta could have a six-pack, but it would be on his back, not his tummy.

Rotta is breaking the Hutt mold in other ways, too. According to White, Rotta speaks mostly Basic (Star Wars code for English) instead of Huttese. As Watto once said, Tinka me chasa hopoe ma booty na nolia.

Jeremy Allen White opens up on voicing Rotta The Hutt – son of Jabba – in The Mandalorian And Grogu.

“There’s a little bit of Huttese,” he teases of the role. “It was helpful, of course, to listen to Jabba [in Return Of The Jedi].”
