Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent praised a golden buzzer act after Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell fought over their audition. Britain’s Got Talent returned for a new series last month, and the ITV show has already lined up a variety of impressive acts all within the hopes of securing the win.
This year, presenters Ant and Dec have reprised their roles as presenters to front the series, but it’s the judging panel that will have a new look this year.
Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon will be back as familiar faces, but KSI will also be stepping into a full-time role as he replaces former judge Bruno Tonioli.

On Saturday (March 7), the judges returned to Blackpool once again ready to welcome the next set of auditions into the studio. With it only being the third set of live shows, the golden buzzer has scarcely been used so far.
However, things took a turn during the night’s acts. First off, Canadian double act who trampolined left the judges less than impress, especially after they took a tumble on stage.
Meanwhile, comedian Daniel Edison received mixed reviews after receiving two buzzers from Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell. Despite their reservations, he ended up going through to the next round as he won them over in the last few moments of his performance.
As more acts piled onto the stage, it was AntiGravity from Ukraine who secured the golden buzzer after a “never before seen” routine that wowed the judges and the audience.
The group performed a clever routine that appeared as though they were multiple video games with the use of clever visual effects and use of the screen behind them projecting images.

After their routine, Simon declared: “That was unbelievable. That was one of the best things I’ve ever seen on this show”, KSI labelled it as fantastic and then Alesha admitted her interest in pressing the golden buzzer.
It was then that Simon got up from his chair, hoping to also secure his golden buzzer act. In a battle, Alesha dove over the judges table and got to the buzzer first, making sure AntiGravity made it straight through to the live shows.
Audiences at home shared the same level of praise for the act, as on X (formerly known as Twitter), @mollitorose wrote: “i agree with that golden buzzer brilliant”.
@xjade_xo added: “I have no idea how they even did that but I loved it, can’t wait to see them again” as @philm2244 penned: “At last! That was awesome. Not seen anything like that before.”
