A York singer has wowed all four judges on Britain’s Got Talent.

“This is a dream come true for me,” said Finley Barrett-Carter as applause filled the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

The 20-year-old student’s rendition of Burning Love by Elvis Presley impressed the ITV show’s judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI.

“Where did that come from?” asked YouTuber KSI after hearing Finley’s booming voice.

“It looked like you were having the best time of your life up there,” Dixon told Finley.

Finley said he busks “every weekend in York” and is regularly told he does not look how he sounds.

His rendition of the classic hit earned him high praise – even from the notoriously harsh judge Cowell.

“The audience love you – you are through, go and celebrate,” Cowell said, giving the final vote for Finley to proceed to the competition’s next round.

If successful in winning Britain’s Got Talent, Finley will be set to take home a £250,000 prize pot and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

As The Press reported, Finley is best known for performing around York and for a gig held last April at The Cottage Inn in Haxby, in partnership with Carefound Home Care, to raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice.

The gig was in memory of his grandfather and Mark Payne, both of whom passed away after receiving care at St Leonard’s, and raised more than £1,300 with donations including a customised Ernie Ball Music Man Axis guitar.
