KIMS Hospitals, a division of the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Secunderabad—one of India’s largest and most trusted healthcare groups—has launched two new super-speciality hospitals in Bengaluru. Located in Mahadevapura and Electronic City, the facilities mark a strategic step toward expanding world-class, patient-centric, and technology-enabled healthcare services in the region.
Renowned Indian film star N. T. Rama Rao Jr. inaugurated the hospitals, highlighting the group’s commitment to bringing advanced healthcare infrastructure closer to communities.

KIMS Hospitals strategically positioned both facilities in two of Bengaluru’s fastest-growing regions to ensure easy access to quality medical care.
The Mahadevapura unit houses more than 450 beds, while the Electronic City facility includes 350 beds. In addition, both hospitals together feature 30 state-of-the-art operation theatres and over 170 outpatient consultation rooms (OPDs). This infrastructure enables the hospitals to deliver comprehensive and efficient medical care across multiple specialties.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMS Group of Hospitals, emphasised the organisation’s vision for healthcare in the region.

Both hospitals integrate more than 25 super-speciality centres and Centres of Excellence, offering specialised care in several medical disciplines.
These include cardiology, neurology, oncology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, internal medicine, critical care, and chronic disease management.
Furthermore, the facilities provide a full spectrum of healthcare services—from 24/7 primary care and advanced diagnostics to complex surgical procedures and long-term disease management. According to him, launching KIMS Hospitals in Bengaluru represents an important step in strengthening the organisation’s presence across key healthcare markets such as Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

A Special Moment at the Inauguration
During the inauguration, actor N. T. Rama Rao Jr. described the occasion as deeply meaningful.
He recalled that his grandfather, N. T. Rama Rao, had laid the foundation stone for a building at PES University in Bengaluru more than four decades ago. Witnessing the continued development of the city’s infrastructure made the event particularly special for him.
He also shared his strong connection with Bengaluru and the people of Karnataka. Having been associated with the KIMS Hospitals family for over a decade, he noted that the organisation consistently combines clinical excellence with compassionate care. He expressed his honour in inaugurating the state-of-the-art facility.
Advanced Infrastructure to Serve Bengaluru’s Growing Population
As per the press release, Dr Nitish Shetty, Managing Director of KIMS Hospitals Bengaluru, emphasised that the new facilities aim to meet the rapidly growing healthcare demands of the city.
Both hospitals feature advanced intensive care units, high-end diagnostic systems, and experienced medical professionals to ensure efficient and personalised patient care.
He also revealed that the group plans to launch three additional hospital units in the coming year, further strengthening its healthcare network in the region.
According to Dr Shetty, the Mahadevapura and Electronic City hospitals will function as major healthcare hubs, particularly serving Bengaluru’s expanding IT corridor and surrounding communities.
