Residents are being warned to stay away from an ongoing incident in Kāpiti Coast as police negotiators speak to the occupant of a property.

Negotiators are actively communicating with a person at a property near Te Whena St, Ōtaki Beach.

Cordons are in place on Rangiuru Rd while police respond.
Some officers are armed as a precaution.

Police said there was no risk to the public and no injuries have been reported.
