“In a world that can feel so dark, Bobby was always a beacon of light to everyone around him.
“We are bereft at the loss of this beautiful soul and want to acknowledge Bobby’s valiant struggle against his nearly two-decade battle with bipolar disorder.

“We hope his journey can shine a light and encourage addressing the stigma that attaches to mental illness.
“At this time we ask for the privacy to grieve this unfathomable loss. With gratitude for your understanding and compassion.”
Carradine had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder after the death of his brother David Carradine, who died in 2009, aged 72.
In the weeks before his death, Robert Carradine had been preparing to begin work on a film project titled The Driver.
Director Connie Lamothe told the Daily Mail that the actor had been expected to play the mafia crime leader Antonio Politano in the production.
“The last conversation was positive and upbeat,” she said.
The film-maker said Carradine had spoken with members of the production team in mid-January and appeared ready to begin work.
“There was nothing that suggested otherwise.”
Carradine was part of a prominent acting family and had worked in film and television for decades.
His daughter, Ever Carradine, 50, is also an actor.
She was born during her father’s relationship with actor Susan Snyder.
Robert Carradine later married Edith Mani and the couple had two children, Marika Carradine and Ian Carradine.
Robert and Edith were married for 25 years before divorcing.
