Amid the controversy surrounding political families’ children flaunting their lavish lifestyles, Kris Bernal expressed how proud she is to have a home built from hard work.
Bernal took to TikTok on Thursday, Sept. 4, to reflect on the hard work it takes to pay for the expenses of their house construction.
“The joy of buying every piece of this house with hard-earned money. No dad as an ATM machine,” she wrote in the caption alongside a video of herself posing inside her modern Mediterranean house, which is still under construction.

“What’s earned through hard work brings the deepest pride!” continued the caption with the hashtags “Tax Payer,” “Flood Control Project” and “Contractor,” among others.

The children of political families flaunting their lavish lifestyles on social media have been thrust into the public eye amid the allegedly anomalous and ghost flood control projects involving some government officials and contractors.
Celebrities including Anne Curtis, Bianca Gonzalez, Nadine Lustre and Pokwang have also expressed their frustration at the alleged corruption in the use of funds for flood control projects.
Gabbi Garcia likewise flaunted her travel adventures funded by her hard-earned money, stating, “Rich in life ’cause I can travel the world (and) live my best days with my own hard-earned money.”
Meanwhile the Senate has issued subpoenas to five contractors and three executives of the Department of Public Works and Highways, asking them to attend the hearing of the panel investigating anomalous flood control projects, scheduled on Sept. 8. /ra
