The White Ferns have lost the second match of the Twenty20 series against South Africa by 18 runs.

New Zealand were unable to back up their impressive 80-run victory at Bay Oval on Sunday, Amelia Kerr top-scoring with just 32 runs in Hamilton.

Wickets fell cheaply, with only Sophie
Devine and Izzy Sharp scoring above 20.

South Africa looked a vastly improved team from the first match, setting a score of 177 that was too big a task for the White Ferns to chase down.

Ayabonga Khaka tore through the New Zealand middle order with four wickets for 27 runs in her four overs, the second-best figures for a South African bowler against the White Ferns.
