NRLW Late Mail: Round 10
Dragons v Cowboys, Saturday 12.45pm at WIN Stadium
Dragons:Â Lock Hannah Southwell is straight back into the starting side in her return from suspension in the only change to the team that defeated the Warriors. Southwell’s return sees Trinity Tauaneai shift to the bench, with Ahlivia Ingram the other new face on the interchange. No changes in Friday’s 24-hour update with Pia Tapsell, Grace Hamilton and Alice Gregory dropping out of the squad.
Cowboys:Â Abigail Roache has been named to return from a concussion suffered at training a couple of weeks ago, with the centre to replace Jakiya Whitfeld (shoulder). A big change in the halves, with Rosie Kelly named at halfback and Tahlulah Tillett moving to the reserves. Ebony Raftstrand-Smith is 18th player while Hailee-Jay Ormond-Maunsell also remained in the squad when it was trimmed on Friday.
Bulldogs v Sharks, Saturday 5.15pm at Accor Stadium
Bulldogs:Â Brayden Wiliame has named the same 17 that fell to the Broncos last week, with Holli Wheeler listed to start. The prop could revert to the bench on game day, as she did last week, when Leio Fotu-Moala was added to the starting side. No changes in Friday’s 24-hour update with Shaquaylah Mahakitau-Monschau the 18th player.
Sharks: Jaydika Tafua has been named to start at second row in her return from a finger injury, with Rhiannon Byers (back) sidelined. Caitlan Johnston-Green will miss the clash after fracturing her eye socket against the Knights. Stephanie Faulkner will start at prop, with Jacinta Carter added to the bench. Tyla King has been named 18th player as she looks to return from a concussion. King and Dom du Toit remained in the squad when it was trimmed to 19 on Friday.
Warriors v Broncos, Sunday 12pm at FMG Stadium
Warriors: Lavinia Tauhalaliku returns from concussion on the wing while Matekino Grey starts at prop in her return from suspension. Metanoia Fotu-Moala has shifted from the bench to the front row, with Capri Paekau named to start at hooker and Lydia Turua-Quedley shifting to the interchange. Ivana Lauitiiti comes on to the interchange after missing last week’s loss to the Dragons.
Broncos: Star centre Julia Robinson is being rested ahead of the finals so Shenae Ciesiolka comes in for her first starting appearance of the season. Shalom Sauaso returns from suspension via the interchange, with Azalleyah Maaka set for her NRLW debut off the bench in place of Destiny Brill (calf).Â
Knights v Titans, Sunday 1.45pm at McDonald Jones Stadium
Knights:Â Tongan teenager Fane Finau makes her NRLW debut in the back row, with Evah McEwen making way. Kayla Romaniuk is straight back into the starting side in her return from suspension. Jules Kirkpatrick moves to the bench, while Simone Karpani been named to return on the bench after two games out with a calf injury.
Titans:Â Young star Phoenix-Raine Hippi will move from wing to centre after Sarina Masaga (concussion) was ruled out. Jasmin Morrissey comes in on the wing for her NRLW debut while Kelsey Parkin also debuts off the bench. Lily-Rose Kolc has been cleared of an ankle injury and will start at hooker in an unchanged forward pack. Star fullback Jaime Chapman (ankle) and emerging forward Sienna Lofipo (concussion) remain sidelined.
Eels v Wests Tigers, Sunday 6.15pm at CommBank Stadium
Eels: Fleur Ginn shifts to centre to accommodate the return of Rosie Beckett at five-eighth. The playmaker made a successful return from concussion in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership last week. Cook Islands international Kiana Takairangi is set for her club debut on the wing, with Zali Fay shifting to the reserves.Â
Wests Tigers:Â Coach Brett Kimmorley has stuck with the same squad that fell to the Raiders in golden point last week. Jetaya Faifua and Faythe Manera will combine in the halves, while Caitlin Turnbull will line up at fullback and Kezie Apps will start in the back row.Â
