Kia New Zealand is offering up to three years worth of reduced cost motoring for EV buyers.
The offer includes no ORCs, 3 years worth of RUCs, a 3 year service plan and $1500 worth of charging fees.
Starting at the start of April, the offer will run for three months on the EV3 and EV5 SUVs.
Kia New Zealand has introduced a new ownership program for its EV3 and EV5 electric models, designed to “reduce the total cost of ownership and simplify the transition to electric mobility.”
The initiative, which kicks off at the start of April and runs for a three-month period, will be available through participating Kia dealerships across the country.

Kia NZ’s offer includes the mid-size EV5 SUV, as well as the small EV3.
The program will see Kia New Zealand provide new owners with a comprehensive package covering several major vehicle expenses for the first three years or 45,000 kilometres of ownership. The company will cover all initial on-road costs and 45,000km of road-user charges, as well as $1500 contribution toward charging fees and a complimentary service plan that handles vehicle maintenance for the three-year or 45,000-kilometre period.

“We appreciate that times are challenging at the moment, but the need for clean, economical and accessible motoring doesn’t stop,” said Todd McDonald, Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, who noted that the current economic climate and fluctuating fossil fuel prices have made vehicle ownership more complex for New Zealanders.

The EV3 was recently awarded the top prize in the World Car of the Year awards.
“We hope that these new initiatives can help introduce many more Kiwis to a sustainable and cost effective way to meet their mobility requirements.”
The introduction of what the company is calling “New Zealand’s best EV ownership offer” follows significant industry recognition for the EV3, which was recently named the 2025 World Car of the Year and New Zealand Motoring Writers Guild Car of the Year, as well as being a top-three finalist in our own DRIVEN Car Guide Car of the Year.
The move also aligns with Kia’s recent victory in the 2025 Roy Morgan ‘Best of the Best’ award for Customer Satisfaction. By bundling maintenance, road taxes, and charging support into the initial purchase, the company says it intends to support motorists in moving away from the volatility of petrol prices.
